The Vizient Southern States Boards of Directors has resolved to ensure the productivity and value of the Vizient Southern States' networks. A network is defined as a collective group that meets at least three times annually. Each council is expected to achieve specific objectives under each of the general goals listed below. The general network goals are to:
- Share best practices (clinical, operational and financial) through member presentations, roundtable discussions and/or LISTSERV/Forum communications.
- Develop key indicators/statistics for benchmarketing that will result in operational, clinical (e.g., patient safety, quality of care, etc.) and/or financial improvement.
- Work collectively on cost savings projects, revenue enhancement projects and/or clinical enhancement projects where financial return on investment can be measured. Methods for achieving these measurable economic benefits include but are not limited to enhanced regional and national contracts, surveys and studies, new product lines, reduced mortality or reduced LOS. Results can be measured by one or more organizations.
