James R. Davis

James R. Davis joined University Health Care System in Augusta, Georgia in January 2009 and in June 2010, he was named its president and chief executive officer. Mr. Davis has over three decades of experience as a senior executive in hospitals and health systems.
Prior to joining University Health Care System, he worked for Aultman Hospital in Canton, Ohio, Mount Carmel Health System in Columbus, Ohio, Memorial Regional Hospital in Hollywood, Florida, and Humility of Mary Health Partners in Youngstown, Ohio.
He serves as chairman of the board for Vizient Southern States and as chairman of the board for Goodwill Industries of Middle Georgia and the CSRA. He also is a member of the executive committee of the board for the Augusta Metro Chamber of Commerce and serves on the boards of the Augusta Symphony and the Georgia Alliance of Community Hospitals.
Mr. Davis has a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering and a master's degree in business administration from the University of Akron.
